TBRI® for Caregivers: 4 Part Training Series. Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI®) is the gold-standard in care for children who are struggling with behavior. In this four-part series you will learn the 3 main principles of TBRI® and the practical tools to implement them. TBRI® is a holistic, attachment-based, evidence-based, and trauma-informed intervention that is designed to meet the needs of all children. This series will equip you with the knowledge and tools you need to help the child in your care get back on their appropriate developmental trajectory and strategies for handling challenging behaviors. MAR 6: Introduction and Overview Learn the why behind TBRI®, how attachment develops, how adverse experiences impact the brain and what you can do to initiate hope and healing. Mar 13: Connecting Principles Learn what happens when attachment is disrupted, how to communicate in a way that establishes felt safety for your child and how your own adult attachment impacts your parenting. MAR 20: Empowering Principles Learn the basics child's physiological and environmental needs. Gain insight and tools to meet their unique sensory related needs and help develop self-regulation skills. MAR 27: Correcting Principles Learn how to disarm challenging fear based behaviors, replace them with appropriate ones, balance structure and nurture and set appropriate expectations. This group will meet once a week from 11AM-1:30PM In person and workbooks and lunch will be provided.
