SANTA MONICA, CA — The Santa Monica Pier will remain closed on the weekend for the remainder of January, including Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, city officials announced this week.
The pier was closed temporarily on Sunday, a cautious move to help to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, officials said.
The pier will remain closed on the following days:
Saturday, Jan. 16 Sunday, Jan. 17Monday, Jan. 18Saturday, Jan. 23Sunday, Jan. 24Saturday, Jan. 30Sunday, Jan. 31 "The best way to slow the spread of COVID-19 is to stay home as much as possible and the closure is part of meeting this need," officials said.
