Explore the unique music of the berimbau, the musical bow, and learn about its traditions and practices in Brazil and its African relatives. Attendees will be treated to a 30-minute concert, followed by hands-on opportunities to learn more about the construction and playing of these unique instruments as well as singing, dancing and drumming. The recommended audience for this concert are elementary, middle & high school students and adults. Please register each person who will be attending the concert. This concert is presented with the assistance of a music education grant from the Farny R. Wurlitzer Foundation Fund.
