Defensive Handgun Basics: 4 hours
· Conveys the basic knowledge and skills necessary for safe handling/storage of firearms/ammunition, firearm safety & marksmanship fundamentals, elements of trigger control.
· Handgun uses, features, basic skills and techniques, safe cleaning, transportation, and storage methods.
· Details of modern isosceles grip and stance, ergonomic draw stroke that is safe and realistic.
· Current state laws on carrying handguns (including self-defense & use of deadly force)
· Students will shoot a minimum of 100 rounds of ammunition.
· Certificate of completion provided on completion of the class
· This certificate will allow the student to apply for the Concealed Handgun Carry Permit issued by the Tennessee Department of Safety. (Currently 34 state honor this permit)
