Description

Join committed partners, area business leaders, program participants, and community champions for an engaging and inspiring evening. Attendees will walk away with a better understanding of People First Economy, our program areas, our financials, and some new friends. We're excited to include some Local First favorites like a mini Fork Fest, vendor market, and spoken word poetry. We are also gauging interest in complimentary childcare for this event. We are working with our Good for Childcare partner to assist in coordinating this offering. Please note your childcare and dietary needs in the registration (the opportunity will be presented during ticket purchasing). This event is wheelchair accessible. Service animals specifically trained to assist a person with a disability are welcome. No other animals, including pets, therapy animals, or emotional support animals, are allowed. For general information or to request reasonable accommodations, contact Katherine Jandernoa before February 8 by phone:(508) 971-2855 or email: [email protected]. We understand that acknowledgment by itself is a small gesture and People First Economy continues to do the ongoing work of coupling land acknowledgments with authentic relationships and informed action. But we also know that naming can be an exercise in power so we are taking this step toward honoring Native communities and enacting the much larger project of decolonization and reconciliation. 5% of event proceeds will go towards the Indigenous tribes of Michigan.
