Description
Sawyer is a handsome, happy Australian Shepherd who needs to be rehomed through no fault of his own. He is just over 1 year old, he weighs 47 pounds, and he has a gorgeous black tri coat. He is neutered and up to date on his vaccines. Sawyer has not been able to spend a lot of time in the home, so he is not yet housebroken or crate-trained. He knows how to sit on command, he walks pretty well on leash, and he rides nicely in the car.
Sawyer is a big love bug! He loves all people all the time. He is a medium Velcro dog who loves to be around his people but he is also comfortable spending time away from them. Sawyer also loves other dogs and he enjoys playing with them, although he has a wide-open play style that can be a little rough on smaller dogs! Sawyer is a medium-to-high energy guy with an off switch. He loves to go for walks, play with his dog pals and zoom around the yard, and when all the play is done he will happily settle in for some quiet time playing with his toys or chewing on a bone. Sawyer does fine with the cats in his home.
The ideal family for Sawyer is active, friendly, and willing to work with Sawyer to continue his training so that he can be his best doggie self. A fenced yard is required, another playful dog would be fabulous, and any children in the home should be at least 12 years old (he still jumps when he gets excited). Sawyer has so much to offer someone.
