Description

Stormont Vail Health/ Cotton O'Neil Clinics and Stormont Vail Hospital are unfairly discriminating against the Medicare Eligible Citizens they serve by refusing to contract for Medicare Advantage Plans with UnitedHealthCare, in particular. Those who are affected the most are those Citizens who are both Medicare and Medicaid Dual Eligible, the most vulnerable population. In the State of Kansas, Medicaid is managed by a Private Health Insurance Company of the Consumers choice. In the State of Kansas, Consumers have 3 options, UnitedHealthCare, Aetna, or Sunflower. All three Insurance Companies have Medicare Advantage Plans for Dual Eligibles. However, Stormont-Vail HealthCare/ Cotton O’Neil will only accept ONE Medicare Advantage Plan that works with their State Medicaid and that’s AETNA. WHY IS THAT? On the Non-Dual Aetna Medicare Advantage Plans, it says right on the plan, “In partnership with Cotton O’Neil/ Stormont Vail”. I am asking for the Administration of Cotton O’Neil and all the Physicians, Nurses, and Staff to LET US IN!!!!! STOP UNFAIR TRADE PRACTICES TO THE EXCLUSION OF ONE OF THE STATES OWN TRUSTED INSURANCE CARRIERS. Stormont Vail Health/ Cotton O'Neil Clinics and Stormont Vail Hospital: We the People of the Great State of Kansas hereby demand that you contract with UnitedHealthCare Medicare Advantage Plans immediately and stop the unfair trade practice. LET US IN.
