Porter description A Manhattan based luxury real estate company has openings for experienced maintenance Porters within its Long Island City rental residential building portfolio. Porter Responsibilities Clean common areas and vacant apartments, maintain exterior areas, collect and sort trash. Some minor handy work may include changing light bulbs, replacing blinds and small paint touch-up jobs. Porter Requirements One (1) year or more of Porter experience (building cleaning experience will be considered). Can communicate efficiently in English. Heavy lifting (50+ lbs.) is required. Must be available to work weekends, night shift and/or overtime. Handyperson A Manhattan based luxury real estate company has an opening for an experienced Handyperson within its Long Island City luxury rental building portfolio. Handyperson Requirements: Five (5) years or more of Handyperson experience in a luxury rental building. Complete maintenance work and repairs in common areas and apartments. Ability to perform electrical and plumbing work, carpentry, painting, plastering, and more. Must have extensive knowledge of all building systems including boilers, hot water heaters, pumps, HVAC units, etc. Can communicate efficiently in English. Heavy lifting (50+ lbs.) is required. Must be available to work weekends, all shifts, and overtime.
