ONLY serious considerations for this position please. Permanent FT position. Description of role: Cookies by Design Naperville seeks individuals to assist by decorating cupcakes, cakes and cookies. Looking for indiviiduals who want to learn how to decorate, we will train you. Experienced decorators will be compensated accordingly based on their skills and knowledge already acquired by working in the industry. Super fun job at our main production kitchen. This is not a temporary position. Tasks: - Primary duty is to decorate cookies, frost cupcakes and decorate cakes, You will also assist in all areas of the kitchen as needed such as making baskets, maintaining frostings, tissue, packaging bouquets and glaze cookies. We will cross train you in many areas of the kitchen to provide a more efficient Team. Full time Team Members learn all areas of the kitchen with the intention to be a key holder on a Saturday. Saturday production in the kitchen is scaled back. -Produce a QUALITY product. - Maintain efficiency by meeting weekly efficiency goals - Maintain a clean kitchen by following the Opening and Closing Shift Duty Checklist - Other miscellaneous tasks that relate to the position Skills and requirements: - PUNCTUALITY - High school graduate REQUIRED - English is a MUST. - Excellent work ethic and time management skills - Must be able to adapt to a rapid work environment - Must be able to work in a team atmosphere. -A willingness to work long hours if needed during holiday weeks. Work schedule: Full Time: 5 days a week First Shift: 7am-3pm, end of shift varies due to production in kitchen Second Shift: 1pm-9pm, end of shift varies due to production in kitchen. The end of your shift varies during holiday weeks!! Shift ends when all orders are completed and kitchen is clean, we all walk out together as a Team. Must be available to work 1 Saturday a month, 7am-4pm, no more than 2 Saturdays a month, if needed Off on Sundays Salary: The pay is set at $16 per hour for inexperienced decorators. Experienced decorator pay to be discussed depending on skills and past work experiences in the industry. Paid time off benefits, to be discussed. Yearly anniversary reviews are given.
