The Allegrini family has played a leading role in the history of Fumane and Valpolicella Classica winemaking since the sixteenth century. Michael's Wine Cellar is honored to host this exceptional 4 course dinner featuring some of Allegrini's finest wines. This event will be held at Michael's On East. Marilisa Allegrini, a member of the sixth generation of the Allegrini family, became one of the first women to successfully promote wine, as well as the Valpolicella region throughout the world. In 2017, she became the first Italian woman wine producer to grace the cover of one of the most respected wine magazines in the world, The Wine Spectator, and, in 2020, Marilisa was awarded the Cavaliere del Lavoro by the President of Italy, a national honor bestowed on “those who have been singularly meritorious” in agriculture, industry and commerce.
