Description

Waldorf education enjoys a long history and tradition, yet it is as fresh and relevant today as ever. How did Rudolf Steiner develop this pedagogy? How can we put his ideas into practice in the daily education and lives of our children? This workshop will provide answers to these questions, especially for the first and second seven years of childhood. Dietmar Kasper, an experienced Waldorf teacher visiting from Germany, will lead this informative community workshop at Sunrise School of Miami. About Dietmar Kasper Dietmar Kasper is from Wissen/Sieg, Germany, a small village located near an oak forest. He studied mechanical engineering at the University of Kaiserslautern. While working as a research engineer at a German company, Dietmar was introduced to anthroposophy and Waldorf education. At age 37, Dietmar went to the Anthroposophic Academy for Waldorf Education in Mannheim, Germany, and became a high school Waldorf teacher. Since then, he has worked in several Waldorf schools, most recently, the Rudolf Steiner Schule Mittelrhein in Neuwied, Germany. A few years ago he began to "Teach and Travel" around the world with his wife, Monika. ***Please note, though we love children, this workshop is for adults only. ***
