In this class, you will learn everything from how to layer, what's in your pack, how to tour efficiently and how to use your backcountry safety equipment! If you want to start getting into the backcountry, this is the perfect course for you. This is also a great pre-requisite class to getting your Avi 1. Avalanche education is the best piece of gear you can have in the backcountry. Whether you’re split boarding, AT skiing, snowmobiling, etc. get the proper knowledge to help you move through the backcountry safely, efficiently and confidently. Important Notes What's Included? All day backcountry safety training and lunch! What to Bring? Please bring all needed backcountry equipment. AT skis or split board, beacon, shovel, probe, backpack and a helmet. You should also bring snacks and water!
