In this workshop you will gain a better understanding of: Equity 101 - what is equity and why is it importantInsights into the Ossining Union Free School District's plan for equity for all students The New York State Education Department (NYSED) Culturally Responsive-Sustaining (CR-S) Education Framework and what it means for students and families Keynote speaker: Dr. Alexandria Connally is the founder and CEO of Culturally Responsive Environments and Discipline (C.R.E.A.D.). Currently, she serves as the Director of Equity, Inclusion, and Innovation of the Nyack School District. Alexandria has devoted her professional life to ensuring equity in education for all children. Presenter: Dr. Ann Dealy, Director of Student Success, Ossining Union Free School District (OUFSD). Ann's leadership includes several focus areas including the District Equity Committee and the My Brother's Keeper Program (MBK). Ann has provided leadership in creating a supportive and rigorous school culture grounded in collegial inquiry to ensure that all students experience a personalized, nurturing environment that offers culturally responsive curriculum and engaging instruction and authentic assessment.
