Join us for a FREE K-12 book fair and snack—while supplies last, and talk to us about an educational choice program that we hope to create in Texas, which would cover the cost of private school and homeschooling for qualifying families.
Parents know what's best for their kids - and while Texas has a lot of great public schools, sometimes, an assigned public school isn't the right fit. And while some families can afford to pay to send their kids to private school or homeschool, many families can't. Parents, regardless of income, know their children's unique educational needs best, and should be able to select the best option for their kids.
If you would like to send your child to private school or homeschool but can't afford it, an "educational savings account" would help cover the cost for qualifying parents!
ESA's are savings accounts created for eligible families by the state government where funds are put into an account that parents can use on a variety of educational options and materials. ESAs don't exist in Texas yet, and we want to talk to parents who would benefit from this program.
We are the Institute for Justice, a nonprofit with an office in Austin, that works alongside parents to support educational choice programs.
If you're interested in bringing ESAs to Texas, please join us at the Port Arthur Public Library from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm on February 9th!
