I am an experienced (live and recorded) rock drummer in my early 40’s focused on pocket, dynamics, and keeping the band on tempo. I enjoy livening up your rhythm section. My days of Keith Moon fills and playing to 11 are over. I am looking for an easy going group of musicians who can play but more importantly want to forge their own sound. Joining an established band where you have songs previously written with other musicians particularly the drummer is deal a breaker. The end game would be to record, play live shows, and bask in the glory of our families and day jobs during the week. What I am looking for stylistically you ask. Old sounds mixed with new ideas. If you were to look at my music library you would see everything from the Byrds, Morphine, Cass McCombs, Thee Oh Sees, Fruit Bats, La Luz, and lot of classic garage rock and soul. I would love it if there were keys and original guitar sounds. Also, you’re not afraid to use a 12-string or baritone guitar. I have my own well appointed rehearsal space in Dedham.
