It is characterized by the emotions of survival, stability, ambition, and self-sufficiency. When this chakra is out of balance, a person might feel unstable, ungrounded, lack of ambition, lack of purpose, fearful, insecure, and frustrated. Build your arches, open your feet, and strengthen your legs to ground the stimulus of everyday life and turn it into your personal strength. Open and fortify your root system to convert feelings of overwhelm and fear into strength and conviction. Life is always changing; we must find our own solid ground amidst the constant experience of the unknown. Your feet, ankles, and legs are your root system, and they must be open and strong in order for you to take the frenetic energy of daily life and turn it into nourishment. When you are at this "magic" point Here and Now, your usual past and your predictable future no longer exist, you return your own energy and are open to new opportunities in your life! To be in this moment, you need to develop the willpower in order for it to surpass your "wired" programs and beliefs. This meditation will help you with this.
