Position Summary Work on a 3-person crew learning and following proven Paragon systems and safety practices to provide high quality, safe and efficient, landscape services. Attend and participate in training and education classes to learn new skills and aid in career advancement with the company. Provide client satisfaction to the highest standard. Benefits at Paragon Landscaping Corporation • Top pay • Consistent full-time hours with time and a half overtime pay • Workers Compensation Insurance • Health Insurance • Simple IRA Plan with Employer Matching • Paid Time Off • Paid Holidays • Paid Vacation • Paid Training • Company incentive bonuses • Growth opportunities for advancement • Clean, modern, and efficient workplace trucks and equipment Job Duties • Follow instruction and training from landscape foreman • Learn and implement all Paragon safety practices and protocols • Strong attention to detail is required • Work as part of a team with supervision from landscape foreman to execute completely and safely all landscape projects within project time allotments • Projects include complete landscape construction projects, landscape planting installations, seasonal container and bedding plant installations, spring clean ups, edging and mulching, fertilization, insect and disease control, general garden care, pruning, fall clean ups • Operate various landscape hand tools and equipment including: ventrac tractors, sod cutters, rototillers, blowers, hedge trimmers, pruning equipment, lawn mowers and line trimmers • Communicate with clients in a polite and courteous manner • Comply with all company policies and regulations KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS: • Experience in the landscape industry is preferred but not necessary. • Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license is preferred but not necessary. • Willingness to take instruction and constructive criticism from assistant landscape foreman and landscape foreman • Willingness to participate in training and education programs • Display accountability for work being performed • Display a commitment to safety and practicing safe work behaviors. WORKING CONDITIONS: Work requires the ability to lift 100 lbs. on occasion, and frequently transport plant material around the job site up to 50 lbs. Physical requirements also include lifting, bending, walking, carrying, and pushing equipment on a continual basis. This position works outdoors in various weather conditions. The noise level at the job site may be loud when operating certain equipment, such as a lawnmower or backpack blower. * VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE IS NOT REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION* Salary Range $18.00 - $21.00 / Hr.
