Experienced, mature jazz/blues 4 string electric bass player - new to North Country and looking for musicians to play/gig with. I'm not a pro, but serious about my music - have taken lessons for several years with a working pro in NYC, and studied quite a bit of theory.
I love playing blues! Also soul jazz, fusion, etc. I have space and some equipment and recording facilities (modest right now) here in Watertown.

I ran a workshop in Brooklyn for a few years - the Jazzunky Workshop - RnB/soul-jazz/jazz-blues instrumental material - Booker T, Butterfield.... - hard bop, blues and soul-jazz/funk-jazz material from people like Herbie Hancock (Cantaloupe Island...), Horace Silver (Jody Grind...), Lee Morgan (Sidewinder...), Wayne Shorter (Adam's Apple...), Watermelon Man (Herbie Hancock), Adam's Apple (Wayne Shorter), Blue Monk, Silver's Serenade, Doodlin, Nutville (Horace Silver), Green Onions (Booker T), Moritat (Mack the Knife) and Blue Bossa (Kenny Dorham). Been working with more modern versions of a lot of the material too - more contemporary grooves and sound.
Unfortunately, COVID sunk the Jazzunky™ Workshop and (not unfortunately) sent me to North Country.
I also have a bunch of originals. You can hear a lot of Jazzunky™ and me myself with some digital backing @ https://soundcloud.com/user-863562777 and https://soundcloud.com/user-863562777/sets/mng-bass.
If you're interested, take a listen up there on Sound Cloud and give me a shout by replying to this post.
Tnx
