Currently seeking a full-time employee, this is strictly a beef cattle farm. All of the operations and duties are centered around tending to the livestock on the farm. Responsibilities include: Operating equipment, mechanical aptitude, servicing the equipment, and taking preventative measures on equipment (checking oil/assessing equipment) Doing a daily routine check and care of all of the cattle and the horses assessing animals to make sure all are of sound health and don't need additional attention. Feeding of the animals, as well as cleaning water troughs. Cleaning of the farm and maintenance of the fence line as well as miscellaneous projects that come up. Comprehensive to calving, and how to tend to calves during calving season. Having a general knowledge of animal husbandry, and comfortable with applying medicine to the cattle. Logging and keeping record of each individual livestock and medical history and lineage of sire and dam. Potential candidate will have prior farming experience as well as calving experience. Compensation: This is a full-time position, which includes residency and the ability to receive educational advancement and training through the employer. The job is salary based and can be discussed with the owner, if the potential candidates' qualifications are of interest to the job offer and the owner wishes to move forward with potential candidate.
