This role will serve to support employees, operations, and the company owner as the second-in-command. The ideal candidate will possess dedication, drive, and loyalty to help manage and advance the company. This position will begin on an hourly pay scale for the first year with the intent of becoming salary at the one-year anniversary date. There is potential for growth for the right person who brings collaboration, dedication, and motivation to the position. This person will oversee managing 2-4 of the 6 crews employed. The company is made up of three maintenance crews, two landscape installation crews, and one lawn care treatment crew. In addition to managing 2-4 crews, the operations manager will also be responsible for the following: • Oversee activities of crews and individual workers. • Hire, train, and evaluate new employees. • Report to company owner to provide feedback and collaboration for jobs, customers, and employees. • Direct 2-4 crew leaders and aid crews as needed. • Ensure workers have the resources to complete their work. • Manage/organize equipment and update equipment maintenance log. • Oversee truck maintenance. • Meet with customers to ensure work satisfaction and quality control. • Fill in for team member from time to time due to absences • Provide new customers with proposals and estimates. • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading landscaping publications, and participate in landscaping organizations. • Meet service revenue goals and explore opportunities to add value to company and employees. • Manage business when owner is out Pay, Benefits, and Hours: • Salary = $60,000-$80,000 per year • Company truck provided after 3-month anniversary • Year-end milestone bonuses • 1-week paid Holiday, 1 week PTO, 1-week paid vacation per year (Total of 3 weeks paid time off per year after accrued time is met) • Health insurance stipend OR childcare stipend available • Paid training and continuing education • Monday-Friday from 7:00am-5:00pm is a typical work week with variations due to inclement weather/seasonality • Possible relocation stipend if applicable Minimum Requirements: • Valid North Carolina Driver License • Self-starting, self-motivated, driven • Organized • Management experience • Experience towing trailers Preferred Requirements • Past landscape management experience • Bilingual (Spanish) Must respond with resume and please have a working phone number for replies.
