Description

Traditionally the lighter (Pops) concert of the three annual Stritch Orchestra concerts, this year’s Winter Concert (“Made in the USA”) features familiar (and a few not so familiar) orchestral works by some renowned 20th Century American composers. The program opens with one of John Williams’ Olympic fanfares and includes Samuel Barber’s “Adagio for Strings,” as well as film music from Aaron Copland, George Gershwin, and Richard Rogers.
