March 21, 2023 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Presented by the Kacmarcik Center for Human Performance EmpowHER is a fully funded professional conference that brings together women of diverse backgrounds, education, and socio-economic statuses for shared learning and encouragement. This half day event inspires women to imagine a better and better life and career future – and equips them to create it. __ What does fully funded mean? This is a completely cost-free experience for every attendee. Women receive conference registration, materials, and hospitality (an estimated $350 value). Transportation to and from the conference is also available for any woman who needs it at no charge. __ SCHEDULE 10 a.m. Registration, networking, and light brunch 10:30 a.m. Welcome and opening presentation 10:45 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Feature Class and Breakout Sessions 12:45 p.m. Eat & Meet: Keynote with box lunch 1:15 p.m. Closing and networking __ PROGRAM Feature Class This 45-minute interactive learning experience focuses on essential dimensions of personal and professional development and is team led by Dr. Gretchen Jameson and Dr. Marlena Ward Dodds. With a diverse group of fellow participants, women will explore their inherent talents and strengths and develop skills to build on them. No matter your experience, education, or employment level, our reflective approach guarantees every woman will learn more about herself, her goals, and her ambitions for the future. Breakout Sessions Participants will choose one of the following 45-minute sessions (opposite the Feature Class): Creative Collisions: A speed networking session that focuses on mentorship woman-to-woman (because all of us have something worth teaching another woman) Just Breathe: Presented by Empower Yoga Enter our Well-being Studio, you will learn and rehearse mindfulness practices focusing on breath and balance. Whether these skills are new to you or habits you live by, there is something for each of us to learn in stillness. Keynote Our featured speaker promises to be a compelling voice for us all.
