The Villagers will host “Pinecrest Paradiso,” a tour of Pinecrest’s most heavenly gardens from 10 AM – 3 PM, Saturday, March 4th. The boutique will remain open until 4 PM. Garden lovers will have the opportunity for a special view into five private gardens featuring lush landscaping, water features, unique plantings, sculptures, and more. Members of The Villagers will be on hand throughout each garden with insider details about the flora, fauna, and what makes each garden special. In addition to five unique, private gardens, participants are invited to tour Pinecrest Gardens (formerly Parrot Jungle and Gardens), featuring the newly renovated Upper Garden, by renowned landscape architect, Douglas Thompson of Landscape DE and award-winning architect William Lane. Pinecrest Gardens is listed in the National Register of Historic Places and recognized for its significance by the Cultural Landscape Foundation. Pinecrest Gardens will be one of two starting points for the Garden Tour as well as the site of The Villagers’ Boutique. Featuring a variety of vendors offering unique gifts and plants as well as Villagers’ Jewel Box Gems, angels, and breads, the Boutique will be open until 4 PM. Tickets are $50. In addition to purchasing on Eventbrite, tickets may be purchased in advance from Villagers’ members or at The Villagers' booth at Pinecrest Gardens Farmer Market on Sundays from 9 AM - 2 PM. Tickets will also be available the day of the tour for $55 at Pinecrest Gardens, 11000 SW 57th Ave, and at one of the private gardens located at 6201 SW 96th Street, both in Pinecrest, FL 33156. Tour-goers will receive a map to guide them through the tour as well as detailed information about landscaping highlights. There are no refunds and no rain dates. This is a no-smoking event.Venues cannot accommodate wheelchairs, walkers, or strollers.Commercial photography is not allowed. Carpooling and comfortable walking shoes are encouraged.Food trucks will have food available for purchase. Ticket holders drive their own vehicles between the properties and will receive tour directions with their ticket purchase. *** Proceeds support The Villagers’ historic preservation projects and university scholarships for students studying historic preservation.
