Some of the highlights of the celebration include: -Chinese oil painting demo (Taught by Ms. Pan, former owner of Hi Restaurant) -Chinese dumpling cooking lesson (Taught by Dr. Mingtao Jiang, owner of Marathon Ginseng; and Ms. Clendenning, teacher/owner of Chinese Express Language School) -Chinese lion dance performance (By ZYKFA in Madison) -Traditional Chinese dance and music (Performed by visiting scholars from Beijing) -FREE Chinese food from many different local restaurants (King Buffet, Chang Garden, Shanghai Grill, etc) -Chinese opera performance (Performed by visiting scholar from Beijing) -Chinese calligraphy lesson (Taught by Ms. Pan, Chinese painting/ calligraphy lecturer) -Chinese art making (Sponsored by Boys and Girls Club) -Mayor of Wausau opening speech; Milwaukee Chinese Chamber of Commerce speech -and much more
