Sonoma County has experienced multiple disasters in recent years. Each time our faith based organizations are amazing partners in both response and recovery work. The Sonoma County Department of Emergency Management in collaboration with multiple community based agencies are engaged in a disaster response and recovery campaign to learn from our prior experiences, identify areas where we can improve, and build our capacity for future collaboration. This Listening Session will gather faith based organizations from District 2 to help launch this process. This interactive time will be organized around engaging in a survey and conversation designed to highlight what we can learn about disaster response and recovery through the lens of our local congregations.
