Sophie has primarily been our lesson horse for our children to learn to ride. As you can see in the videos the kids are riding her in her halter. She loves kids and has great ground manners. She will let them ride her bareback. If Sophie had it her way she would give rides in a circle all day, be brushed, and be given treats. She is definitely a low man on the totem pole kind of horse. She will ride out on trails but prefers at least one other horse with her when she goes. Stands great for brushing, tacking, mounting, etc. Our four-year-old has even led her around the arena a time or two. She can be a bit sassy when asked to canter, but she is a lazy mare so that’s not shocking. She doesn’t like having her halter put on but once it’s one she is great. Will ride in her halter or a hackamore. She is obviously great with dogs as you can see in the videos. The kids are just not that into riding, and my husband and I both work. She is 14.3 hh quarter horse. She will come with her saddle, halter, lead rope, and possibly a bridle too. I just have to look through all our tack. We are in Horry County, SC.
