Radon is the second-leading cause of lung cancer in the United States and the leading cause among people who have never smoked. Radon is invisible and odorless and can only be detected with proper equipment; the winter months are when radon levels are highest and make the ideal time to test. San Juan Basin Public Health (SJBPH) is offering free radon workshops throughout January and February. In just one hour, you will learn how to detect the gas, how to interpret test results, and how to find certified radon mitigation technicians. Mitigating for radon is cheaper than major home repairs and can literally save your life. Please join us to get the tools you need to keep your home and family safe this winter.
