Description
Mathew 11:28 "Come to me all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." You are invited to join us in Albuquerque from February 23-25, 2023 for the annual Border-Southwest CCDA gathering! Two years since the pandemic hit North America, we are exhausted. Many of the communities we live in have received the brunt of the impact, from heightened risk of severe disease to difficulty accessing services to the stress of balancing distance learning while also working multiple jobs. CCD practitioners have pivoted, working tirelessly with their communities to address both new challenges and old systemic injustices that were made more evident over the past two years. Many have also lost loved ones, relationships have been strained due to social and political flashpoints, and many are feeling overstretched and on the verge of burnout. This gathering will be an opportunity for CCD practitioners to come together and experience a time of rest, healing, and connection. We will engage in restorative practices, share our stories from the past couple of years, and support each other in finding our next steps. Limited scholarships are available for anyone who would like to attend but can't afford the registration fee. Please reach out directly to [email protected] to inquire. We look forward to seeing you in Albuquerque in February! We are really looking forward to welcoming you all to our regional CCDA gathering, February 23-25. The theme for our time is Peace in the Storm. These last few years have been very challenging, and we are all struggling in various ways in our organizations, neighborhoods, personal or spiritual lives. Please know that we want this weekend to be a restful and safe place for you, no matter where you are at this moment. Those of us planning this conference are struggling with many of the same challenges that you all are, and we are working to create the space of Reflection, Regulation & Rest, Reimaging and Re-Entering with Hope. We are grateful for the opportunity to spend some time with each other to be encouraged in community. Please feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions but we are excited to welcome you to Albuquerque in just a few weeks.
