Please email [email protected]. _____________________________________________________________________________________________ SCHEDULE Saturday, Feb 11, 2023 9:00 AM - 9:30 AM — Registration9:30 AM - 3:30 PM — Tournament Play3:30 PM - 4:00 PM — Award Ceremony_____________________________________________________________________________________________ RULES OF PLAY* Team Rules: Each player will be placed on a team that will be guaranteed a minimum of 4 gamesEach team will be assigned a head coachHead coaches will control substitutes and make sure that every team member plays in each gameGame officials are not in control of substitutions or playing timeEach team must have a waiver signed for each player participatingTeams must have at least 7 players at all times on the field. Maximum team limit will be 14 players, with a minimum of 10 players. Walk-In registrations will not be allowed Playing Rules Coin toss determines first possessionsOffense has three plays to cross mid-field. Once team crosses mid-field it has three possessions to score.Offensive team fails to cross midfield, or score, change of possessions occurs with the other team taking control on their 5 yard lineAll possessions changes, except interceptions, start on the offense’s 5-yard lineIf the defense scores a safety, they will receive 2 points and start the ball at mid-fieldAll rushing defenders must wait 2 seconds (Mississippi count) before rushing the QBOffense must have 3 offensive lineman, and the defense must have 2 defensive linemenEach score is worth 6 points. Teams then have the option of going for 1, 2, or 3 points: (a) 1 point is an extra try from the 5-yard line (b) 2 points is from the 7-yard line (c) 3 points is from the 10-yard line Timing/Overtime Games are 40 minutes running clock. Two twenty-minute halves. Halftime will be 3 minutes. During the last two minutes of each half, clock will be stopped on each dead ball: (a) Dead ball will equate to an incomplete pass, timeout, etc (b) Officials can stop the clock at their discretionEach time the ball is spotted, a team has 20 seconds to snap the ball. If a team fails to snap the ball in 20-second play clock, a penalty will be enforced.Each team has one 60-second time out and one 30-second timeoutIf the game is tied at the end of 40 mins, the game will go into OT. Each team will have possession of the ball at mid-field. If the game times out after the first overtime, teams must go for 2 points. * Game rules are subject to change based on event organizer's discretion _____________________________________________________________________________________________ CONDUCT CODE The tournament organizers and officials will be responsible for proper conduct of participants in the tournament. Players are responsible for obeying the published tournament rules. Fair play and good sportsmanship is mandatory. Unruly behavior, foul language, and other improper conduct may result in the player being asked to leave and their team forfeit the game. _____________________________________________________________________________________________ EVERLAITH FOUNDATION EverLaith Foundation is an Atlanta-based 501(c)(3) charitable foundation set up in honor of Shariq Laith Haider with the mission to preserve his enduring legacy of selfless love and compassion. In his short but bright 13 years, Laith deeply and positively affected his family and friends, and their lives will remain forever changed due to their mutual love and affection. His tragic loss in March 2020 brought our community together to aspire higher and love deeper. To fulfill Laith’s vision, his family and friends set up EverLaith Foundation with a mission to provide for the welfare of children and animals alike.
