He came from humble beginnings as an immigrant from Belarus. This is a great story that shows the world that real estate investors and landlords are not just rich dudes. He came to UGA and Athens and soon after making a good income with a salaried job and started buying real estate even before the Great Crash of 08. Dzmitry flipped a few houses along the way, and right up until the recent price boom, of which he benefited from, owned a few rentals acquired over the years. At this point he is now a full time investor working on fix and flips while searching for the next long term cash flow project.
