Description

Come along on a trek in the Juno Dunes Natural Area, which is nestled between the shores of Juno Beach and the south Florida intracoastal. Our travels on this 2+ mile hike will have us ascending and descending the white, sugar-sand dunes on the coast of northern Palm Beach county. Although shade is sparse, those who find themselves in need a swift cool down can dip their toes in the waters on the beach afterwards! For those with tiny tots, not to worry; this hike is definitely kid-friendly. Just be sure to bring plenty of water and snacks for the trip, and we're sure to have fun! This preserve is host to 569 acres of white sand dunes, over 4 miles of hiking trails, and the highest natural point in all of Palm Beach County! Hiking is not the only recreational activity that this gorgeous tract of land provides; folks with a love for bird watching will have ample opportunities to spot a variety of aviary wildlife, and there are boat launches in various point of the park for canoeing/kayaking enthusiasts.
