Looking for paid work. I play most all styles. Mostly I have played with classic rock bands, but sat in with blues, jazz, big band, oldies, yacht club music, dixieland. I can read music if you have scores you want followed to the note. I mostly play by ear, so you dont need to give anything, but a list is helpful. I am capable of sitting in with any band playing any kind of music, including hip hop and todays pop, and can immediately improvise my own music parts even on songs I have never heard. You don't need to tell me the key either. When I play with bands, they get 2X -3X times the usual tips. Really. I am not the best player in the city, but my creative "on the fly "style is liked and tipped well. I keep them guessing as they have no clue what Im doing as I shift from bass rhythm parts to keyboard melodies, to 2nd and 3rd chair less busy parts, and solos when desired of course. I watched a band for 1 hour at DMAC. They had about $15 in the tip bucket. Then I joined them for 2 hours and bingo, about $200 appeared. They stuffed some in my sax bell! Same thing at Famous door, Opera House, etc. I am not with any band currently.
