We are a thriving, growing e-commerce company looking for a detail-oriented team member to fulfill online sales orders, pick and pack product for shipment and package product in display-ready wrap, as well as assist with creative and production tasks as assigned. We have a large and expanding direct-to-consumer base along with a large wholesale base. Previous shipping experience preferred. This position is for someone who can operate independently with little supervision and can work on their feet in a bustling production environment. The ideal candidate will be obsessive over details and able to work expediently to pack daily orders. // IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS // • Previous experience in packing/shipping; familiarity with shipping and handling practices • Fragile materials or art handling experience is a plus • Strong observational, organizational, and communication skills • Strong work ethic and an ability to manage workflow • Ability to take direction and constructive feedback daily • Experience working in a fast-paced production environment, or other high-energy work environment • Ability to stand for 8 hours a day • Proficient use of hand tools including scissors and box cutters • Ability to adapt and improve upon current processes within studio to help constantly improve production • Ability to lift 50 lbs+ // JOB DESCRIPTION // • Pack products for outbound shipment • Check each shipment prior to packing to ensure that the correct product and quantity match the order. • Maintains safety and cleanliness standards in the shipping area • Success applicant will be trained to assist on additional creative and production tasks to help with the overall workflow in our high-production, handmade environment. These tasks will occupy roughly 1 workday (8 hours) weekly. • Package product in foam core and plastic wrap for display and shipping • Perform other related duties such as preparing packing materials • Receive packing material deliveries, add to inventory and store appropriately • Weekly inventory-taking and reporting of shipping materials (boxes, shipping bags, etc.,) and reporting to Studio Manager to reorder as needed • Use company vehicle to make local pickups and deliveries as assigned // SCHEDULE // 4 days per week initially. A consistent schedule is required. This role will be scheduled Monday through Thursday, 9:00am-5:45pm. Please note we are open weekdays only, so no evening or weekend hours are available. // COMPENSATION // Starting pay is $20.50 per hour. // BENEFITS, PERKS, & OTHER GOOD STUFF // This is an ideal job for someone who wants to work in a creative environment all day.
