Drummer Looking

Meets

Denver CO

Description

Hey all, I thought I'd reach out and see if there is any need for a drummer out there. My name is Greg and I've played in several bands over the years. I’m not a pro drummer. You’re not getting John Bonham or Virgil Donati here; and I still work my day job, though I’m winding that part of life down a bit. My goal is to be involved with like-minded musicians that fit and play well together with similar tastes in music, and are open to trying many different avenues / styles. I’m also open to starting up something from the ground up with individual players. For me an ideal lineup would consist of Drums, Keys, Bass, 2 Guitars, and at least one female voice involved. I would also like to do “a little bit “of gigging. My influences are Rock, Classic Rock, Motown, Blues, R&B, etc….. I can provide some lists of music I’ve been involved with. I like to think they are reasonably varied. There is a ton of music out there and I would like to remain open to every style. I’m not looking to front or run a band. I just spent most of my life running businesses. However, I’d like everyone involved to have collaborative input to the music played. I do jam with a few of different projects right now but due to everyone’s life schedules etc.… it’s often difficult to match up time to jam. I would like to be playing a bit more consistently with a steady line-up. As far as gigging goes, I’d like to be playing out, but not all the time. 4-6… at the most, 12 gigs a year would be plenty for me. Not looking to get rich or get “signed”…. I do this for fun / therapy, and to connect musically with good people…., not for cash or recognition. I live on the "west'" side of the metro. I have quality gear and sing a little. I may have had contact with some of you on the CL musicsphere in the past and may have even jammed or “auditioned” at some point and we may have mutually decided it wasn’t a fit, so you can skim by this. Let me know if there is any interest in a meet and greet to see if there IS a fit. Thanks for checking this out, Greg
