Currently shedding some tunes with drummer guitar and keys. Our bass player is moving away so looking for a new player to hold down the low end. The music we are playing is jazz (modal, hard bop, blues, some bebop), funk, and some rnb/hiphop. Songs like Four, red clay, mystic brew, and cantaloupe island but also songs like cissy strut, mr magic, and little walter rides again. The playing environment is intermediate/advanced but relaxed. We all help/challenge each other to grow as musicians. This is a gig driven project, looking to play out before the end of the winter. Age is not really important, taking the music seriously is all that matters for this project. I am mid 20s but play with people of all age groups. A good opportunity for an experienced bass player that is looking to gig, or especially an intermediate level player that is looking to get some experience playing music in a live situation with other musicians.
