I adopted a male standard parti poodle off of Craigslist about 6 months ago. I tried my best to do well with this guy but he’s not doing well in his new environment since we’ve had to move. After 3 months his food aggression got worse & lashes out at everyone that gets close when he’s eating. He comes with a muzzle, he hasn’t done any damage yet with a bite, but he will if you aren’t really careful. I let him stay with family while I was sick and in the hospital for weeks & he just came back even worse, unlearned potty training, & even had to be taken to the vet for a bump on his head to be removed, underweight, desperately in need of a groom. I’m still sick & this guy just needs a home where he can thrive. He was definitely abused by the people I got him from…He needs someone that can work with him. I can no longer manage him. I don’t want any money for him, I just need him to be rehomed. He’d make a great large property dog with lots of space - even if you think you can take him off my hands & rehome him to someone else, I need that. He has lost so much weight from being in my family’s care from his hunger strikes. I’ve started adding sweet potatoes & pumpkin to his food to help gain weight back. He’s around 40-45 now. Was 57 when he was in my care :( Loves cats, dogs, & people, a good, happy, normal dog when he doesn’t have a bowl of food or treats in front of him; just turned 1 in July. I don’t have any papers or registrations for him but he is microchipped so you’ll have to get the information changed. I’m willing to drive him anywhere from Missouri to Wisconsin. No meet ups, you take him when you meet him. Comes with several weeks worth of food & his toys.
