REMODELING FOREMAN/CARPENTER

Description

Thomas Custom Builders, a family-owned design build firm specializing in custom residential construction in the Northern Virginia area, seeks a well-qualified working Foreman/Lead Carpenter for ongoing remodeling projects to include bathrooms, kitchens, additions and new construction. The right candidate should be an ambitious, motivated, dependable and hardworking individual who is looking to grow with the company. Duties & Responsibilities: • Preform carpentry such as cabinets, trim and framing • Complete all work as directed by the Project Manager • Ability to work with construction materials and tools and all work included • Perform a variety of routine, non-machine tasks such as: preparing job sites, jobsite organization and cleanup • Leading small crew in building and carpentry Requirements: • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in remodeling and/or construction • Ability to lift and move 75 pounds and meet the physical requirements of a remodeling project • Oral and written communication skills • Good mathematical skill and reasoning abilities • Ability to follow instructions and company policies and procedures • Valid driver’s license, personal transportation and tools • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening • Problem solving skills • Framing experience both interior and exterior • Ability to preform finishing carpentry, such as fixtures and trim moldings • Setting cabinets and cabinet trims • Ownership of common tools such as drills, reciprocating saw and skill saw • Willingness to preform labor and demo when needed
