Description
Hey, my border collies name is flint. He’s 5 months old, not neutered so he can grow well first. He’s on fresh dog food subscription mixed with a high quality kibble and healthy table scraps. He’s very calm for a border collie and obedient of course. We got him to stay outside with our chickens to keep the foxes and possums away, and he has small jobs inside of the home as well. We have a newborn and two cats and another dog, but that’s not his issue. I came out to him of top of one of my chickens and watched him rip its wing off. He had been caring for them and herding them well up until this week. Giving him the benefit of the doubt I allowed him to try again today. I came out to the last chicken wedged between a tree and our fence, and I’m done. He’s great in the home and with more training will be an eager working dog but not for the animals we have. We have bonded to him deeply, especially my husband who’s always wanted a dog, but it’s bringing us more sadness and stress now and I’d rather chose my relationship.
