Job Description: Primary Role: • The main task required will involve the application of aquatic herbicides and algaecides to various waterways by small boat, ATV, backpack sprayer, or other means Additional responsibilities may include but are not limited to: • Periodic installation of native aquatic plants in and around lakefronts and/or ponds • Removal of dead, floating, or overgrown aquatic vegetation from waterways • Water sampling and preparation for analysis, pond or lake water on-site testing and documentation Qualifications The work requires physical exertion and is mainly performed outdoors. Applicant must: • Have the ability to routinely lift 50 lbs • Possess a valid driver’s license and pass motor vehicle record search • Be able to drive a manual transmission (stick shift) vehicle • Possess good time management, organizational, and communication skills • Be a highly motivated, self-driven individual that works well on their own or with little supervision • Obtain the required licenses by passing a state exam within the first six months of employment • Routinely follow established procedures and practices • Commit to all health and safety guidelines • Possess effective verbal and listening communication skills • Pay constant attention to detail and perform job associated tasks with a high level of accuracy • Be mechanically inclined • Be able to swim Preferred but not mandatory qualifications include: • Experience operating 4X4 vehicles • Experience pulling or towing a small trailer • Experience launching, loading, and operating small boats or watercraft • Prior experience within the aquatic management industry and/or basic knowledge of Florida’s most common aquatic plants Company Benefits: • Starting pay range based on experience and/or education: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour • Performance-based bonuses and additional income opportunities • 401K retirement savings plan with matching company contributions • Company-sponsored, fully comprehensive healthcare plan • Additional company-sponsored supplemental insurance policies including accidental, life, and short-term disability • Paid time off including holiday, vacation, sick/personal -When replying, please attach a resume
