In a state full of diverse backdrops, abundant talents and inspired stories, we should be magnetic for filmmakers to create here. The road to attract more films and ultimately boosting and enriching Maine's economy isn't as straightforward as one would expect. It takes a dedicated team to convince the government to boost the current incentives. Picture Maine has been making strong strides to change how films are made here. You are included in our list because of your interest in supporting our work. Please buy a ticket to our February event today...we are capping the night at 76 guests. As we gather in the historic Freeport Grange, we will we update you on our progress, Maine writers and poets will share recent works from the stage; you will enjoy New England-inspired food and beer pairings and get to meet more fellow, vibrant Mainers. A VERY SPECIAL OPPORTUNITY Maine Artist Charlie Hewitt will be crafting ten of his famed HOPEFUL signs for silent auction. Bidders will have the opportunity to gift a sign to a few chosen organizations such as the Paul J. Schuph Arts Center in Waterville or to the highest-bidders' choosing. This generous collaboration will allow Picture Maine to continue our important forward momentum while also literally spreading hope around the state. Award-winning chef Josh Berry has crafted a menu that speaks to New England's heritage of comfort and gathering for warming conversation. Mast Landing curated beer pairings are available that perfectly complement each dish. There will also be warm buttered cider and wine available. Please see the menu below.
