For the Red and Red Musical Activity Book Event, each child ages 18 months to 7 years will receive their own book. Carol Nelson, the author, will demonstrate how to use what Head Start Director, Tolu Oluwole calls a "great teaching tool and confidence builder". Carol will encourage audience participation in using Red and Red eight different ways. This is "seamless learning that happens to be loads of fun" says teacher, Emily Lowe of ABC Middle School. Children will have a ball turning their book pages to song cues and learning colors, animal names, animal categories, body parts, how to count in English and Spanish, how to answer "who" and "what" questions, how to read words, and follow directions. Parents and caregivers will be asked to help their children as needed. Carol will also present caregivers with 10 easy ways to nurture a positive mood and attitude in their young learners. Carol's events are for young learners and their caregivers. This event is also for older children learning English as a 2nd language, and for older children with a diagnosis that affects learning. All children must be accompanied by an adult, 18 years or older. There is a three-child limit for each parent/caregiver. So look forward to meeting you, Sunday, January 29th 2023 at 2:00pm est!
