Description

Hi, I'm a Clearwater-based keyboardist (primary), bassist, guitarist, drummer, and vocalist. I also have good experience running a soundboard and lighting rig. I've been the leader of my High School's rock band since October of 2021. We've performed a multitude of times with a full PA setup, and occasionally with lighting effects. I have excellent understanding of all of our equipment, and can (and have) single-handedly set up our equipment for a performance. High Schoolers can be fun, but also a bit tiring to work with, so I'm on the hunt for some more professional people. I'm looking to get some more outside exposure to the music world and meet some awesome, like-minded people. Musical influences range from Classic Rock (Beatles, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, King Crimson, Hendrix, Elton John, Eric Clapton, Wings, Lynyrd Skynyrd, etc.), to 90s - 00s Alternative (Smashing Pumpkins, Alice In Chains, Incubus, Pixies, Radiohead, etc.), to anything that Maynard James Keenan has touched (TOOL, A Perfect Circle, and Puscifer) and also Vulfpeck. Pretty nice list, if you ask me. Puscifer is my jam right now; I've already got my tickets to their May 19th St. Pete show. I'm most interested in finding a band of really talented and dedicated people, who share a love for music. I consider myself to be best at keyboards, but I'm also adept on electric guitar, bass, and drums. I have good equipment for each of these instruments. I'm prepared to help with the use of any equipment as needed. I'd also be down to help out in the more technical side of things, e.g. recording, live sound, roadie, and so on. I'm not too concerned about any age differences, and I'm willing to audition and try out basically anything in the musical world... minus playing Nu Metal, which has proven to not be for me. My schedule's flexible, and I'm the type of person to make stuff work, so that shouldn't be a problem. I'd love to get in communication with some other people in this realm, so feel free to respond to this email, as I am always willing to help out with whatever. Thanks, John S.
