Description
An Assembler performs various types of skilled repetitive workstation or line assembly operations to assemble components into completed agriculture equipment and finished goods. An Assembler will read drawings, schematics, and other specification resources provided. The technician will maintain a safe and clean working environment. In addition to regular production job requirements, the Assembly Technician may assist by taking on responsibility and ownership of projects within the production line. This may require working with other departments to ensure that production requirements are met.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Willingness to travel
1 - 3 years equipment manufacturing, mechanic, or farm machinery experience preferred.
1-3 years forklift experience preferred
Mechanically inclined
Able to read schematics/directions
Ability to read and follow complex directions, and sequential processes
Tape Measure and units of measurement
Interpersonal, team and organizational skills
Verbal communication skills
Knowledge of basic math skills
Detail oriented
Self-Motivating
Ability and willingness to learn
High mechanical aptitude
Strong hand-eye coordination
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Reads and follows plans, material lists, guidelines, and follows established timelines provided by Assembly Lead.
2. Assemble products according to specifications. Consults Team Lead when variances occur.
3. Fulfills all regular and advanced production duties in a timely manner, while adhering to company policy and procedures.
4. Performs assembly-type functions, using hand or power tools.
5.. Operates forklift as required. Certification Available.
6. Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
7. Troubleshoots equipment and make necessary repairs.
