Description

Marmalade has lived with us since August 28, 2016. He is a little over seven years old now. He's has been mostly kept indoors, but occasionally makes his great escape to roam outside, then returns not too long after. He's been on a strict diet of two thirds canned food and one third dry, which consists of various meats as the first ingredient and no grain: duck, chicken, rabbit, turkey, pheasant, quail, salmon. He is not free fed. He only is served meals once in the morning, and once in the evening. That's one three ounce can of wet, or an eighth of an ounce of dry. He absolutely should not be fed such garbage as Meow-Mix, or any other commercial cat food that has grain as the first ingredient or meat by-products. His weight is very optimum. He drinks bottle spring water from a pet fountain. He's extremely friendly, affectionate, and demands to be around people, and where the action is. I'm his primary care giver, and best buddy. He sleeps with me. Lord willing, we are moving back to California in May, and it saddens me no end that I absolutely can not take him with us. He's neutered, and has yearly shots. His only health problem is probably gum disease. I want him to go to a very conscientious owner. You must be aware that most cats can and will destroy certain items in a house, such as beautiful furniture by scratching it. So please be prepared to answer how you plan on dealing with this. Do not be so cruel as to remove his claws, which is what some uncouth people do as a solution to this problem. A $50 adoption fee will be required. I do not want to give my friend to just anyone.
