Description
Alfie is an almost 2 year old ACD mix that makes for a great companion. He is 50 lbs, high energy and very affectionate with his owners. Due to a breakup, I am moving from a house with a large yard to a busy apartment building. Alfie is reactive to both people and dogs on leash and is scared of loud noises, so being in an apartment building will keep him over his reactivity trigger threshold every day.
I found Alfie in a rural area when he was about 3 months old. He is completely healthy, neutered and chipped. He loves to go on walks, hike, play fetch, play with other dogs he is familiar with (he lived with a 6 year old American Bulldog mix his entire life), and do enrichment activities and obedience training.
He knows sit, stay, down, place, drop it, and leave it. He is house and crate trained. Due to his high energy levels, Alfie will likely need a yard and an active and experienced owner. If he does not get enough physical and mental stimulation, he can be destructive and vocal. When adequately exercised in the morning, he naps most of the day until it's time for his afternoon exercise.
Alfie would be happy in a home with other dogs or as the only dog in a home. He also would do well with cats that are playful. Alfie used to board with his trainer that had a toddler but that's the only situation where he's been around children. He is allowed on furniture and sleeps in bed with me most nights as he loves to cuddle.
$100 adoption fee.
