JOLIET, IL — A 47-year-old Joliet man was arrested Friday night after Joliet police say he hit a woman in the face on Joliet's west side and later shoved several Joliet officers who came to his house to arrest him, according to police reports. Scott Hasenjaeger was booked into the Will County Jail around 10:45 p.m. Friday. Joliet police say Hasenjaeger, who lives in the 1100 block of Frederick Street, was charged with two counts of aggravated resisting a peace officer, plus one count of battery and one count of domestic battery. Joliet police also arrested Hasenjaeger on two domestic battery charges on the night of Dec. 2. On Friday, Joliet squad cars rolled up to the Bel Air Motel around 9 p.m. for a domestic violence incident. "Officers determined that the victim had been struck in the face by Hasenjaeger while the two were at a nearby residence in the 1100 block of Frederick Street," police reports state. "The victim was able to flee from the residence and arrived at the Bel Air Motel where she called 911." The woman suffered an injury to her face, but she refused medical treatment, according to police. Later Friday night, Joliet police went to Hasenjaeger's house on Frederick Street where officers tried to arrest him. "Hasenjaeger attempted to push officers away, and he was placed into custody following a brief struggle," police reports show. Hasenjaeger regained his freedom Monday after posting 10 percent of his $10,000 bail, jail records show. This marks Hasenjaeger's second straight month of facing domestic violence charges. On Dec. 2, the Will County State's Attorney's Office charged Hasenjaeger with two counts of domestic battery. He was also arrested by Joliet police in that case as well. Hasenjaeger entered a not-guilty plea at the Will County Courthouse last week in connection with his Dec. 2 charges, Will County court records show.
