Description

"Pippen" is a sweet loveable playful 14-month-old Doberman Shepherd Lab Mix.  He's medium to large in size.  He has had regular vet visits and comes from a loving home.  We have had him since he was 2 months old.  He is potty trained and crate trained.  He loves people and loves to snuggle.  Pippen alerts us if anyone approaches the house and spends the rest of the day taking playing with his chew toys.  He is an aggressive chewer so small soft toys won't stand a chance.  We buy him tough chew toys that takes months to destroy.  Pippen prefers soft foods or a mix of crunchy kibble and chewy kibble.  His favorite food is "Fresh Pet".  We are looking for a loving safe home for Pippen who is definitely an "inside dog".  He goes out sniffs around a bit does his business goes on walks and occasionally visits the dog park but for the most part he wants to be inside with his humans!  We don't have as much time to spend with Pippen as he deserves between our schedules and the kid's sports.  He doesn't deserve to be crated as much as he has had to be and we just want better for him.  We do not allow Pippen out of the crate when we're not home or overnight.  I'm sure that he can get to that point but in the past he has proven that he is not trustworthy downstairs alone he gets anxious and chews our baseboards unfortunately!  I don't blame him for this as I know he just wants to be upstairs with us but we don't allow dogs upstairs unsupervised or in the beds.  He sleeps comfortably in his crate at night!  Pippen comes from a home with a mom dad 16-year-old and a soon to be 8-year-old.  We have a grand kitty that we pet sit from time to time and Pippen does ok but it's honestly hard to tell if he'll be good with cats or not because our grand kitty won't give him a chance!  He has been around other dogs before and there hasn't been any attacks of any kind he's just playful and in most situations he's rather shy.  At dog parks we have to tell him to go play because he hangs out with us more than the other dogs! Now when it comes to humans he's gets excited and will try to jump and give them love right away.  We usually put him on a leash until he calms a bit and we make the introduction while he's on leash.  He comes with the following: Medical Records / Copy of Vaccinations (He has been neutered) DNA Results 2 Leashes 1 prong collar 1 buzz collar w/remote (We don't use this because the prong collar corrects any pulling during walks - we have a ton of bunnies in our neighborhood!) XL crate 2 dog bowls He responds to the following commands: His name "Pippen" "No" "Off" "All Done" "Sit" "Down" "Paw" "Search" "Stay" "Wait" "Go Potty"
