Parkour-Inspired Rock Band Seeks New Members

Meets

Tulsa OK

Description

We recently parted ways with our drummer, and our singer is preparing to move, so we need to refreshen our lineup. However the bassist and I are possibly interested in switching instruments, so a singing bassist is also an option for us. Willing to consider other combos for the right person(s). We have about 15 songs, with a unique style all of our own. The songwriting process began during my time as a youth parkour instructor, and so the songs were inspired and informed by the parkour obstacle courses. The songs are short, have many parts, move quickly and have low repetition. They are not the easiest songs to learn, but if you don't wanna play cookie cutter rock, this is an opportunity to be involved with something unique. We do not need the best musicians in the land, just the ones who appreciate the music and are willing to serve it. For drums we do not need Neil Peart. A Meg White who can hit all the accents would be just fine. And we do not need a lot of vocals. In fact I think that minimizing the amount of vocals in each song would work best. Just a few good hooks per song should do the trick. Some things that are very important to us are reliable transport, good communication skills, punctuality, enthusiasm, and general dependability. We have drums and, for now at least, a PA in our practice space. We usually practice at least two hours a week on weekday evenings, but may have some flexibility. We have decided to drop the name and the theme. We have yet to decide on the new name. This will be a fresh start with some great songs. We hope to be playing shows again by mid summer or sooner. If all of this sounds like something you are interested in, then lets have a chat.
