Hi there - I moved up from the city last year, and am looking to play with some more folks in the area. I'm in my mid-30s, have played guitar/bass my whole life and studied music/recording in school, and would love to play some accompanying or lead melody guitar for your group. Rock, indie, psychedelic, r&b, jazzy things (not great at straight up jazz, but love some angular melodies and unusual or dissonant harmonies), funk, punk, etc. I have played lots of lead guitar in over the past 7 years, adding counter melodies, solos, new harmonies, or rhythmic support to any band I'm in, or I can simply play what you want me to. My favorite bands are Deerhoof, Mr Bungle, Elliott Smith, Dismemberment Plan, XTC, Brainiac, Squeeze, Daughters, Meshuggah. My favorite musicians are Marc Ribot, Greg Saunier, Trey Spruance, Dave King, John Hollenbeck, etc. Let me know if you want to talk or hear any playing!
