Since Christian Business Meet-up began seven years ago, we have been dedicated to advancing the Gospel of Christ in and through our business community. For some months our leadership has been praying for direction for how we can best accomplish our Kingdom mission, which is to equip and encourage believers to live out their faith at work and connect with other believers in the marketplace. Through conversations with many of you and other business leaders God has led CBM to partner with FCCI (Fellowship of Companies for Christ International), an international organization that serves to transform the world through Christ, one business leader at a time. Our new partnership will enable us to expand our offerings to help us to grow in our faith, impact others in and through our work, and network with like-minded Christians. We will have an introductory meeting Thursday morning, February 2nd in the 12th floor conference room of Hurstbourne Place (commonly known as the flash cube building), 9300 Shelbyville Road in Louisville. The meeting will be held from 8:00 - 9:00 am. Registration is requested via the Eventbrite link below. We will share the details of the events and answer questions about how you can benefit and get involved. FCCI was formed in 1978 by a group of 12 business leaders in Atlanta, GA. They were pursuing a greater understanding of what it means to do business in a God-honoring manner. Since then, FCCI has been established as a global movement of servant leaders who help each other lead companies for Christ, featuring Christian business conferences, retreats, business leadership groups, and international service opportunities. The expanded offerings of CBM-FCCI Louisville will feature two new business leadership groups that will meet twice each month for 90 minutes, and live events called Pollinate Louisville six times a year. One BLG will meet on the first and third Tuesday each month from 11:30 am - 1:00 pm, and the second group will meet the second and fourth Thursday from 7:30-9:00 am. Meals will not be served. Additional groups may be added in the future. March 14th will be the first Pollinate Louisville event, with details to be announced later. The group meetings will feature content from well-known and respected Christian business thought leaders, discussion, networking and prayer. The live events will include high-impact networking and speakers who are successful business leaders and entrepreneurs from around the US. You can learn more about FCCI at www.fcci-site.com.
